![]() The knights and horses of Medieval Times are here to. Several people came in costumes like those we've seen at the Ren Faires, but the majority are in jeans etc and fit in just fine. Make haste to the castle to indulge in a night of feasting, combat, and revelry. ![]() They have a gift shop filled with goodies, and full bar with lots of choices along with a variety of souvenir glasses that you can purchase. Smoke fills the arena several times during the evening, and there's a story line with the knights jousting and using various weapons. The costumes are great, and horses were wonderful. Guests are served a four-course banquet and cheer for one of six knights as they compete in the joust and other tests of skill. At the time of going to press the score stands : 312 12 Won.Lost. My husband and I attended in MD several years ago, and loved it too. We each received VIP Lanyards to wear around our necks when we entered the castle. The top knights of our kingdom will battle with brawn and steel to determine one victor to protect the throne. Our royal treatment began at the beginning of our visit. Children An Epic Tournament Like No Other. According to legends, he was exceptionally gifted in combat and strong physique. He came to King Arthur’s court in search of his father and remained as the King’s knight for a time. This was our first time in this section, we’ve been Red, Green, and Red and Yellow. As a character, the Black Knight refers to Sir Morien who was of Moorish descent and was the son of an Arthurian knight. During the show they stopped by with his souvenir photo from the knighting ceremony, and then a family photo as well (because of the upgrade package). On this visit we ended up in the Black and White section. The food was wonderfully seasoned and HOT (temperature-wise, to the point that you'd want to check a youngsters food before they dig in). Our section of seats was pretty loud but then again it was full of bloggers and our kids we can be a rowdy bunch ) During the show we enjoyed a large feast. Their mission was twofold: to protect European travelers on pilgrimage in the Holy Land, but also to carry out secret military operations. We cheered on the black & white knight, Don Iofre Santa Creu defender of the ancient shrine at Santiago de Compostela. He loved being knighted by the queen before the show, and was super excited to have his name announced during the show as well! I would suggest that anyone coming with kids bring along some wet wipes because they can get pretty messy with the 1/2 chicken eaten by hand (they don't offer utensils to keep their medieval theme realistic). During the early medieval period, a group of devout Christian knights joined together to form the Knights Templar. We upgraded to the royal section, sat in the first row, and had a wonderful time. This was a special outing for our 7-year-old grandson.
